During the Christmas Season of 2018 I read several Christmas books, which I always want to do, but usually never get around to completing even one. This was the last one that I read and I finished reading it in early January. I think that I found this book at a public library book sale. The title caught my eye becaause everything about Paris catches my eye since falling in love with the city after our visit in February of 2017. John Baxter is a foodie which makes the book interesting in and of itself.
This is a book of how from the very first Christmas that he spent with his then girlfriend's family (later his wife's) to the time of the writing of this book of how he became an integral part of their family through planning and executing the all important Christmas Dinner. He goes into great detail of the planning of this meal and the many ideas before he settles on the perfect menu. It was an enjoyable read that took me back to the delightful city of Paris.
